Applies to All Exhibitors Displaying Knives or Edged Implements
Purpose
To ensure the secure and responsible exhibition of knives and other edged tools at all GSOF events, whether on U.S. military installations or in civilian convention venues, while aligning with best practices in public safety, force protection, and event risk management.
Scope
This policy applies to all exhibitors showcasing any form of edged blade, including tactical, culinary, utility, ceremonial, or collectible knives, at all GSOF-hosted events.
Policy Guidelines
- Exhibitor Declaration and Inventory Control
o All exhibitors must declare their intent to display knives before contracting for exhibit space.
o A full inventory must be submitted to GSOF Security no later than 30 days prior to the event, including:
▪ Make and model
▪ Blade length and type (fixed, folding)
▪ Locking or assisted-opening mechanism
▪ Whether the blade is functional, dulled, or inert - Display Security Requirements
o All knives must be secured in locked cases or attached with tamper-proof display cables.
o No loose or unattended knives may be exposed on tables, stands, or counters.
o Blades must remain sheathed, folded, or otherwise always secured. - Handling Restrictions
o Attendees may not handle knives unless:
▪ Under direct exhibitor supervision
▪ Display item is secured to prevent removal
o No knife may be removed from its securing device or sheath. - Demonstration Limitations
o Live cutting, sharpening, or utility demonstrations are permitted, however, only by the exhibitor.
o Only static demonstrations or non-functional replicas may be used for presentations. - Sales and Product Transfer
o If allowed by venue rules, sales may be conducted at the exhibitor’s booth.
However:
▪ No knives may be physically handed over during the event
▪ All products must be shipped to the buyer post-event or delivered off-site
o “Cash-and-carry” is prohibited at all venues. - Venue-Specific Rules
o Military Installations:
▪ Exhibitors must comply with installation-specific regulations, including DoD guidance, AR 190-11 (Army), or AFI 31-101 (Air Force)
▪ All knife-related display items must be approved by the Installation Security Office and Visitor Control Center (VCC)
o Civilian Venues (e.g., Tampa Convention Center, Hotel Venues):
▪ Exhibitors must adhere to local weapons ordinances and venue-specific security requirements.
▪ Any item determined by venue security to pose a threat may be denied entry or removed from the premises. - Inspections and Enforcement
o GSOF Security and venue officials reserve the right to inspect any knife display at any time
o Exhibitors must maintain accurate inventory and immediately report any lost or stolen knives.
o Violations of this policy may result in removal from the event and future exhibitor bans. - Acknowledgment Requirement
o All exhibitors displaying knives must sign a written acknowledgment of this policy and venue-specific rules before setting up their booth.
GSOF Event Safety Is Non-Negotiable.
This policy protects our attendees, exhibitors, and venues while maintaining a professional exhibition environment in the defense and tactical industry.
Failure to comply with these requirements will result in the denial of firearm display privileges and may result in ejection from the event.

Prohibited Items and Firearms Display Protocol
All participants, attendees, and exhibitors at Modern Warfare Week must comply with U.S. federal law, Department of Defense regulations, and Fort Bragg security requirements. Strict enforcement will be in place throughout the event to ensure the safety of all personnel and the integrity of the installation.
Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited from display, promotion, possession, or transport during Modern Warfare Week unless otherwise authorized in writing by Fort Bragg authorities:
● Live or operable firearms unless pre-registered and inspected in accordance with Fort Bragg protocols
● Ammunition (live or inert) unless prior approval is granted
● Explosives or pyrotechnics (including inert replicas)
● Weapon components intended for operational use (e.g., bolts, barrels, firing pins, detonators)
● Improvised weapons or devices
● Riot control agents and devices (e.g., pepper spray, CS gas, tasers)
● Restraints designed for human applications (e.g., leg irons, thumb cuffs, stun belts)
● Unmanned aerial systems (UAS/drones), unless explicitly approved in advance
● Propaganda or materials promoting illegal or sanctioned activities
● Any classified material or export-controlled items not previously cleared for public exhibition
Compliance Statement
GSOF and Fort Bragg maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding unauthorized weapons or prohibited items. It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to ensure all materials and equipment comply with federal, state, and military regulations. Legal counsel and compliance teams should be consulted prior to shipments or displays of regulated materials.
Failure to comply may result in immediate removal from the event, forfeiture of exhibition privileges, and possible referral to law enforcement or installation command.
EXHIBITOR FIREARM DISPLAY POLICY FOR FORT BRAGG, NC
- Purpose
This memo outlines the mandatory steps all exhibitors must follow to display any firearm, including deactivated, replica, or non-functional models, at Modern Warfare Week to ensure compliance with Fort Bragg’s weapon
registration and security protocols. - Applicability
This policy applies to all vendors or exhibitors intending to display one or more firearms (or items resembling firearms) on Fort Bragg premises during
the event period 17 November 2025 – 20 November 2025. - Mandatory Requirements
A. Individual Firearm Registration
Each firearm must be registered with the Fort Bragg Visitor Control Center (VCC) using the following documentation:
● Weapons Registration Form (includes make, model, serial number, caliber, color)
B. Owner Responsibility
Only the firearm’s legal owner or responsible representative (i.e., the exhibiting company) may register the weapon. GSOF Show Management or GSOF Security cannot register firearms on behalf of exhibitors.
C. Required Documentation Submission
All required forms must be completed and submitted to the Fort Bragg VCC by November 16th, 2025.
Submissions may be made:
● In-person at the All-American Gate Visitor Center (see contact information below)
● Or via pre-approved digital coordination with Fort Bragg
Directorate of Emergency Services (DES) (see contact information below)
D. Firearm Condition Requirements
● All firearms must be unloaded
● Firing pins removed or chamber locks installed
● No ammunition is permitted on display
● Firearms must be secured in a locked display case or with security cables
E. Onsite Display Compliance
● GSOF reserves the right to inspect all displayed weapons
● Fort Bragg Military Police may perform random inspections
● Violations may result in removal from the event and possible law enforcement action

We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a secure and compliant exhibition environment in accordance with Fort Bragg regulations and U.S.
Army policy.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT. These terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”), along with the GSOF Event Reservation Form and Contract (the “Form” and, collectively with the Terms and Conditions, the “Contract”) identified above, merge, integrate and supersede any prior negotiations and agreements between the parties, whether written or oral, concerning the subject matter thereof and constitute the entire agreement by and between the company named in the Contract (the “Company”) and Global Special Operations Foundation Corporation d/b/a Global SOF Foundation ( “GSOF”). Any reference to the Terms and Conditions shall include the Form, and any reference to the Form shall include the Terms and Conditions. The Terms and Conditions are intended to be a comprehensive legal contract that contains specific rules and regulations applicable to participation in a GSOF Event.
COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS. The Company shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, statutes, ordinances, rules and regulations (collectively, “Law” or “Laws”) and any rules and regulations that may be promulgated by GSOF and/or the applicable Event venue from time to time. The Company shall obtain, at its sole expense, any and all permits and/or licenses necessary for its participation in the event identified in this Contract (the “Event”).
IAEE GUIDELINES. Company displays shall adhere to current IAEE Guidelines for Display Rules & Regulations, which includes Confines of Booth, Exhibit Height, Line of Sight, Remote Controlled Devices (include Drone Operations), ADA, Structural Integrity, Flammable and Toxic Materials, Storage, and Sound / Music. GSOF reserves the right to make the final decision concerning the eligibility of exhibits and matters of compliance.
ASSIGNMENT OF EXHIBITION SPACE. GSOF will use good faith efforts to accommodate the Company’s request for a particular booth space. GSOF shall notify the Company of the location of its space in the Contract. If GSOF cannot accommodate the Company’s space request, GSOF will notify the Company of available remaining space. Such remaining space shall be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. GSOF reserves the right to modify the floor plan, in its sole discretion, as may be necessary for the best interest of the Event and for the safe and efficient operation of the Event.
RELOCATION. Although it is the intention of GSOF to make permanent assignments of space, GSOF may relocate the Company’s space to a different location on the floor plan. In the event of relocation, GSOF shall promptly notify the Company of such relocation.
ASSIGNMENT AND SUBLETTING OF SPACE. The Company shall not assign, sublet, or share all or any portion of the space assigned to it, or display any third-party equipment, materials and/or services, without the prior written consent of GSOF.
BOOTH SHARING. The Company may not share their booths with any other companies without GSOF’s prior written approval and payment of a booth sharing fee. GSOF may terminate the Contract at any time for failure to comply with this section. Booth sharing fees vary depending on the show and pricing can be found in the appropriate prospectus.
FIRST RIGHT OF REFUSAL. The Parties expressly acknowledge and agree that nothing in this Contract shall be construed to grant or imply any right of first refusal, right of first offer, or any similar preferential right in favor of any Party with respect to any future sale, transfer, assignment, or other disposition of any interest, asset, or right described herein, unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement signed by all relevant parties.
EXHIBITION HOURS AND DATES. Dates and times for installing, constructing, operating, displaying and dismantling exhibits shall be specified by GSOF in the Exhibitor Resource Center provided to the Company, and all such dates and times shall be strictly adhered to by the Company. All exhibits shall remain open for business during exhibit hours as specified by GSOF. Under no circumstances shall the dismantling or packing of an exhibit begin before the official close of the Event. Failure to comply with the terms of this section may result in penalties, in GSOF’s sole discretion, including, but not limited to, immediate forfeiture of the Company’s eligibility to participate in onsite promotional sales and/or prohibition against participation in future events.
SELLING IN BOOTH. Exhibitors are strictly limited to order-taking only. The cash-and-carry model—where products are sold and delivered to customers on-site—is not permitted. All sales transactions shall be fulfilled via future delivery outside of the exhibition premises. Exhibitors shall ensure that:
- No physical products or merchandise are transferred to buyers during the event.
- All promotional materials, order forms, and payment systems clearly indicate that products will be shipped or delivered at a later date.
- Sample products may be displayed for demonstration purposes only, and shall not be distributed or sold on-site.
Failure to comply with the terms of this policy may result in penalties, in GSOF’s sole discretion, including, but not limited to, warnings, confiscation of merchandise, removal from the event, and/or prohibition against participation in future events.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE. Except as provided herein, exhibitors are prohibited from distributing any food or beverage items intended for on-site consumption within their booths unless the items are provided through the Event’s official, approved caterer.
Permitted Items
Exhibitors may offer small, individually wrapped items such as mints, chocolates, or similar confections for attendees to enjoy. These items must be:
- Commercially packaged and sealed
- Offered in small quantities
- Intended for immediate, casual consumption (e.g., as a courtesy treat)
Items Requiring Approval
Any other type of food or beverage offering—such as snacks, samples, branded consumables, or drinks—must:
- Be arranged through the Event’s exclusive catering partner
- Comply with local health and safety regulations
- Receive prior written approval from Event management
Non-compliance with this policy may result in:
- Confiscation of unapproved items
- Fines or penalties
- Suspension of booth activities or removal from the event
EXPORT CONTROL AND PROHIBITED ITEMS. GSOF maintains a strict compliance posture in line with host nation obligations and international best practices. All exhibitors shall conduct a full internal review of their display materials and consult with their legal and compliance teams before participation in the Event. Companies are advised that the promotion, display, brokering, or potential procurement of items at Event may be subject to U.S. and international export control, import, or authorization requirements and may necessitate prior approval or licensing from the appropriate government authorities. The promotion of items that are banned or heavily restricted under U.S. and EU law, including those associated with capital punishment, torture, indiscriminate weapons, or other prohibited uses, is strictly forbidden at all GSOF events. This restriction applies to all forms of promotion, whether direct or indirect, and includes printed materials, brochures, digital content, and imagery displayed at exhibitor stands, regardless of whether the company intends to market or sell such items during the event. GSOF maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward displaying or promoting such items and reserves the right to remove non-compliant materials or exhibitors from the Event without notice, refund or redress against GSOF.
FIREARMS / EDGED BLADE EXHIBIT POLICY. Each Event maintains its own Firearms and/or Edged Blades policy. GSOF will share this policy with Company as well as have it publicly available on the Event website. Company shall comply with all respective policies. Failure to comply with any such policy may result in action taken, in GSOF’s sole discretion, to include, but not limited to, fines to the exhibiting company.
COMPANY USE OF EXHIBITOR APPOINTED CONTRACTORS. The use of Exhibitor Appointed Contractors (EACs) may be permitted at certain events, subject to the approval of GSOF and the venue. However, due to local regulations, union requirements, and/or logistical constraints, EACs may not be allowed at all shows. Company is advised to consult the specific Event guidelines in advance to determine whether the use of an EAC is permitted.
Where allowed, the following conditions must be met:
- Advance Notification and Approval
- Company must notify GSOF of their intent to use an EAC and request GSOF approval. Approval is subject to review and may be denied in GSOF’s sole discretion..
- Credentials and Registration
- Approved EACs must register with GSOF and obtain the appropriate credentials. Access to the exhibit hall will be denied to any contractor not properly registered.
- Insurance Requirements
- EACs must provide a valid certificate of insurance, including general liability and workers’ compensation coverage, naming Global SOF Foundation, the venue, and the official general contractor as additional insureds. Insurance documents must be submitted at least 30-days prior to Event.
- Compliance with Rules and Regulations
- EACs must comply with all Event, venue, and local regulations, including safety standards and labor rules. Company is responsible for ensuring their contractors adhere to these requirements.
- Responsibility and Indemnification
- Company assumes full responsibility for its appointed contractors and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless GSOF, its partners, and service providers from any liability or damages arising from EAC activities.
- Access and Work Hours
- EACs may access the hall only during designated move-in and move-out periods, and shall not interfere with the operations of the official general contractor or event schedule.
INSURANCE. Company shall maintain an active insurance policy covering all contingencies, with a minimum $2 million USD general liability, a copy of which shall be provided to GSOF upon GSOF’s request.
EVENT CODE OF CONDUCT. The Event Code of Conduct (the “Code”) shall serve as a guideline for the professional conduct of anyone attending or participating in Event and the consequences for unacceptable behavior. Failure to abide by the Code is subject to corrective action and sanctions in GSOF’s sole discretion, including, but not limited to, refusal of admission, ejection, banishment, and other penalties consistent with the Code.
ADMISSIONS POLICY. GSOF events are open to professional representatives from the defense and security sector. Visitors should be involved in, or have some legitimate connection to, special operations forces and associated industries. All exhibitor personnel, visitors, academics, guests, contractors, and service providers are subject to a multi-layered security verification process, including but not limited to: identity validation, sanctions and watch-list screening, and affiliation verification to confirm eligibility. GSOF reserves the right, in GSOF’s sole discretion, to deny access to, or remove from the event, any individual who is found to be violating this policy or reasonably deemed to pose a security risk or a likelihood of non-compliance. Full details of the Admissions Policy can be viewed on gsof.org. In the event a particular event has an event-specific Admission Policy that overrides this general policy, information regarding such policy will be posted on gsof.org.
EXHIBITOR REGISTRATION AND ACCREDITATION. All Company personnel attending the Event, including Company’s stand personnel, representatives, guests, contractors/subcontractors (stand build and services) and security personnel who will be working on stands and hospitality areas, must be pre-registered to attend the Event. It is the responsibility of the Company to check the bona fides of all Company personnel registered to attend the Event.
PRIVACY POLICY. GSOF Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect personal information. GSOF is committed to ensuring data is handled with care and in compliance with applicable laws. For a detailed overview, please read our full Privacy Policy.
PAYMENT. The Company shall pay GSOF a 25% non-refundable deposit due at the time of signing this Contract. The remaining balance is due no later than _________ (60 days prior to the Event). Reservations made within 60 days of the Event start date will be required to pay 100% of the contracted amount unless an alternative payment plan is mutually agreed to in writing. If the Company fails to make such payments, GSOF shall have the right to immediately terminate the Contract and rent the Company’s assigned space to another exhibitor, or eliminate or maintain vacant the space without further obligation to the Company. Notwithstanding any such termination, the Company shall not be relieved of any of its obligations under these Terms and Conditions, including, without limitation, its payment obligations.
If the Company is also seeking a sponsorship, the Company shall pay GSOF 100% of the sponsor fee within 5 business days of executing the Contract. If the Event start date is within 5 days of the Contract date, payment in full is required at the time of signing. If the Company fails to make such payments, GSOF shall have the right to immediately terminate the Contract and sell that sponsorship to another customer/sponsor, or eliminate or maintain the sponsorship without further obligation to the Company. Notwithstanding any such termination, the Company shall not be relieved of any of its obligations under these Terms and Conditions, including, without limitation, its payment obligations.
TERMINATION. GSOF shall have the right to immediately terminate the Contract if: (A) the Company breaches any of these Terms and Conditions; (B) GSOF determines, in its sole discretion, that the Company is not eligible to participate in the applicable Event; or (C) GSOF determines, in its sole discretion, that the Company’s products and services are not eligible to be displayed at the applicable Event. If GSOF elects to terminate the Contract, GSOF shall have the right, in addition to any other remedies it may have under this Contract or at law or in equity, to close the Company’s exhibit located in the Event space, repossess any property of GSOF or the Venue Provider (as defined below) used by the Company, and remove the Company’s property from the space and Event venue.
CANCELLATION AND WITHDRAWAL. The Company is eligible for a full refund minus the 25% non-refundable deposit until 60 days prior to the Event start date. Sponsorships are non-cancellable. If the Company wishes to cancel within 60 days of the Event start, the Company will be liable for the full contract amount even if the exhibit space is resold. If the Company cancels or withdraws from the applicable Event, the Company shall immediately notify GSOF of such decision in writing. In such an event, the Company shall forfeit all exhibitor registrations, as well as any items offered with the space. The Company will be subject to the provisions under the TERMINATION section of this Contract.
IMPOSSIBILITY. If for any reason beyond GSOF’s or the Company’s reasonable control – including but not limited to strikes; labor disputes; acts, regulations or orders of governmental authorities; civil disorder; disasters; acts of war; acts of God; pandemic; epidemic; fires; flood; public health emergencies, including but not limited to significant outbreak of an infectious disease, bio-terrorist attack or other significant, catastrophic event or other emergency conditions (each, a “Force Majeure Event”)- GSOF or the Company is unable to perform its obligations under this Contract, such non-performance is excused and either party may terminate the Contract. This sets forth the only provisions between the parties regarding Force Majeure Events and any other similar terms in the Contract are hereby deleted. In the event of a Force Majeure Event, GSOF will provide a refund of fees paid by the Company to GSOF minus expenses incurred by GSOF on behalf of the Company.
CHANGE IN SCHEDULED DATES. The Company acknowledges and agrees that GSOF may be required or choose to change the scheduled dates of the Event as set forth in the Contract for reasons beyond its control or for reasons that, in the sole judgment of GSOF, will benefit the Event and the participating exhibitors and sponsors. GSOF will make its best efforts to notify exhibitors and sponsors in writing of such change at least sixty (60) days prior to the dates originally set forth in the Contract. If the Company decides not to participate in the Event, GSOF will provide a refund of fees paid by the Company to GSOF minus expenses incurred by GSOF on behalf of the Company.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. Each party’s liability hereunder shall not, under any circumstances, exceed the amounts paid or payable to GSOF by the Company pursuant to the Contract. In no event shall either party be liable for any indirect, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages regardless of the theory of recovery upon which such damages may be based and regardless of whether or not having been advised of the possibility of the same. Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing herein is intended to limit either party’s liability for claims of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
INDEMNITY. Notwithstanding anything contained herein to the contrary, the Company shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GSOF, its directors, officers, employees, agendas, service contractors, and the owner, lessor and/or manager of the Event venue (the “Venue Provider”) from any and all claim, liability, damage, cost, or expense to the extent arising out of or connected with: (A) the death of, or injury to, any person visiting or using the Company’s assigned space, or any loss, theft, damage or injury to property, resulting directly or indirectly from any act or omission of the Company, its employees, agents or contractors; or (B) the failure of the Company to comply with this Contract or the terms and conditions of the contract entered into by GSOF and the Venue Provider. By signing the Contract the Company hereby represents and warrants to GSOF that none of the exhibit materials or materials provided to GSOF infringe on any copyright, trademark, or the intellectual property rights of another person.
FUTURE EVENTS. In addition to GSOF’s right to terminate the Contract pursuant to these Terms and Conditions, GSOF may refuse to consider the Company for participation in future events organized and held by GSOF.
SEPARABILITY; WAIVER; REMEDIES. If any part of these Terms and Conditions is found invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected and enforceable. GSOF’s failure at any time to require the Company’s strict compliance with this Contract shall not thereafter waive or reduce GSOF’s right to require strict compliance with the same or any other provision of this Contract in any later instance. The remedies afforded to GSOF herein are cumulative and are in addition to all remedies GSOF may be entitled to at law or in equity.
AMENDMENTS. Except as provided herein, no change in or addition to this Contract shall be valid as between the parties hereto unless set forth in writing signed by an authorized representative of both parties and which specifically states that it constitutes an amendment or addendum to this Contract.
BINDING EFFECT. This Contract shall be binding upon and shall insure to the benefit of the parties hereto, their successor and assigns, or other legal representative.
GOVERNING LAW; VENUE. This Contract shall be construed and regulated under and by the laws of the State of Florida, excluding its conflict of laws principles. The parties hereby agree that the exclusive venue of any action, proceeding, counterclaim, crossclaim or other litigation relating to, involving or resulting from this Contract shall be in Hillsborough County, Florida.
WAIVER OF JURY TRIAL. EACH PARTY HEREBY WAIVES TRIAL BY JURY IN ANY ACTION, PROCEEDING OR COUNTERCLAIM BROUGHT BY EITHER OF THE PARTIES HERETO AGAINST THE OTHER ON ANY MATTER WHATSOEVER ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH THIS CONTRACT.
ATTORNEYS’ FEES. In the event that either party is required to engage the services of legal counsel to enforce the terms and conditions of this Contract against the other party, regardless of whether such action results in litigation, the prevailing party shall be entitled to reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs of legal assistants and costs from the other party, which shall include any fees or costs incurred at trial or in any appellate proceeding, and expenses and other costs incidental thereto.
DIGITAL SIGNATURES. Delivery of an executed signature page of this Contract by electronic transmission shall be as effective as delivery of a manually executed signature page hereof.
ACCEPTANCE. Unless GSOF otherwise notifies the Company at any time prior to the Company’s execution of this document, the outlined format and dates will be held by GSOF for the Company on a first-option basis until ___________(5 business days upon receipt of contract). If the Company cannot make a
commitment prior to that date, this invitation to offer will revert to a second-option basis or, at GSOF’s option, the arrangements will be released, in which case neither party will have any further obligations.
