Prohibited Items and Firearms Display Protocol
All participants, attendees, and exhibitors at Modern Warfare Week must comply with U.S. federal law, Department of Defense regulations, and Fort Bragg security requirements. Strict enforcement will be in place throughout the event to ensure the safety of all personnel and the integrity of the installation.
Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited from display, promotion, possession, or transport during Modern Warfare Week unless otherwise authorized in writing by Fort Bragg authorities:
● Live or operable firearms unless pre-registered and inspected in accordance with Fort Bragg protocols
● Ammunition (live or inert) unless prior approval is granted
● Explosives or pyrotechnics (including inert replicas)
● Weapon components intended for operational use (e.g., bolts, barrels, firing pins, detonators)
● Improvised weapons or devices
● Riot control agents and devices (e.g., pepper spray, CS gas, tasers)
● Restraints designed for human applications (e.g., leg irons, thumb cuffs, stun belts)
● Unmanned aerial systems (UAS/drones), unless explicitly approved in advance
● Propaganda or materials promoting illegal or sanctioned activities
● Any classified material or export-controlled items not previously cleared for public exhibition
Compliance Statement
GSOF and Fort Bragg maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding unauthorized weapons or prohibited items. It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to ensure all materials and equipment comply with federal, state, and military regulations. Legal counsel and compliance teams should be consulted prior to shipments or displays of regulated materials.
Failure to comply may result in immediate removal from the event, forfeiture of exhibition privileges, and possible referral to law enforcement or installation command.
EXHIBITOR FIREARM DISPLAY POLICY FOR FORT BRAGG, NC
- Purpose
This memo outlines the mandatory steps all exhibitors must follow to display any firearm, including deactivated, replica, or non-functional models, at Modern Warfare Week to ensure compliance with Fort Bragg’s weapon
registration and security protocols. - Applicability
This policy applies to all vendors or exhibitors intending to display one or more firearms (or items resembling firearms) on Fort Bragg premises during
the event period 17 November 2025 – 20 November 2025. - Mandatory Requirements
A. Individual Firearm Registration
Each firearm must be registered with the Fort Bragg Visitor Control Center (VCC) using the following documentation:
● Weapons Registration Form (includes make, model, serial number, caliber, color)
B. Owner Responsibility
Only the firearm’s legal owner or responsible representative (i.e., the exhibiting company) may register the weapon. GSOF Show Management or GSOF Security cannot register firearms on behalf of exhibitors.
C. Required Documentation Submission
All required forms must be completed and submitted to the Fort Bragg VCC by November 16th, 2025.
Submissions may be made:
● In-person at the All-American Gate Visitor Center (see contact information below)
● Or via pre-approved digital coordination with Fort Bragg
Directorate of Emergency Services (DES) (see contact information below)
D. Firearm Condition Requirements
● All firearms must be unloaded
● Firing pins removed or chamber locks installed
● No ammunition is permitted on display
● Firearms must be secured in a locked display case or with security cables
E. Onsite Display Compliance
● GSOF reserves the right to inspect all displayed weapons
● Fort Bragg Military Police may perform random inspections
● Violations may result in removal from the event and possible law enforcement action
F. Prohibited Items
● Live ammunition
● Explosives or explosive components
● Any functional firearm not properly registered
● Concealed carry is prohibited (even with civilian permits)
- Exhibitor Requirements:
● DA Form 2760 signed and submitted.
● Weapon Registration Form completed.
● Serial numbers recorded for each firearm.
● Firearms unloaded and rendered inoperable.
● Submission to Fort Bragg VCC by deadline.

Applies to All Exhibitors Displaying Knives or Edged Implements
Purpose
To ensure the secure and responsible exhibition of knives and other edged tools at all GSOF events, whether on U.S. military installations or in civilian convention venues, while aligning with best practices in public safety, force protection, and event risk management.
Scope
This policy applies to all exhibitors showcasing any form of edged blade, including tactical, culinary, utility, ceremonial, or collectible knives, at all GSOF-hosted events.
Policy Guidelines
- Exhibitor Declaration and Inventory Control
o All exhibitors must declare their intent to display knives before contracting for exhibit space.
o A full inventory must be submitted to GSOF Security no later than 30 days prior to the event, including:
▪ Make and model
▪ Blade length and type (fixed, folding)
▪ Locking or assisted-opening mechanism
▪ Whether the blade is functional, dulled, or inert - Display Security Requirements
o All knives must be secured in locked cases or attached with tamper-proof display cables.
o No loose or unattended knives may be exposed on tables, stands, or counters.
o Blades must remain sheathed, folded, or otherwise always secured. - Handling Restrictions
o Attendees may not handle knives unless:
▪ Under direct exhibitor supervision
▪ Display item is secured to prevent removal
o No knife may be removed from its securing device or sheath. - Demonstration Limitations
o Live cutting, sharpening, or utility demonstrations are permitted, however, only by the exhibitor.
o Only static demonstrations or non-functional replicas may be used for presentations. - Sales and Product Transfer
o If allowed by venue rules, sales may be conducted at the exhibitor’s booth.
However:
▪ No knives may be physically handed over during the event
▪ All products must be shipped to the buyer post-event or delivered off-site
o “Cash-and-carry” is prohibited at all venues. - Venue-Specific Rules
o Military Installations:
▪ Exhibitors must comply with installation-specific regulations, including DoD guidance, AR 190-11 (Army), or AFI 31-101 (Air Force)
▪ All knife-related display items must be approved by the Installation Security Office and Visitor Control Center (VCC)
o Civilian Venues (e.g., Tampa Convention Center, Hotel Venues):
▪ Exhibitors must adhere to local weapons ordinances and venue-specific security requirements.
▪ Any item determined by venue security to pose a threat may be denied entry or removed from the premises. - Inspections and Enforcement
o GSOF Security and venue officials reserve the right to inspect any knife display at any time
o Exhibitors must maintain accurate inventory and immediately report any lost or stolen knives.
o Violations of this policy may result in removal from the event and future exhibitor bans. - Acknowledgment Requirement
o All exhibitors displaying knives must sign a written acknowledgment of this policy and venue-specific rules before setting up their booth.
GSOF Event Safety Is Non-Negotiable.
This policy protects our attendees, exhibitors, and venues while maintaining a professional exhibition environment in the defense and tactical industry.
Failure to comply with these requirements will result in the denial of firearm display privileges and may result in ejection from the event.
